REVOLUTIONARY RESULTS - Dragstrip database update notification thread

Honestly never felt uncomfortable being the black sheep. I got lot of complements from lot of evo owners especially when I ran my car. They never expected it to be that fast.

Evo crowd is prettt young but there are also some serious racers and serious 7-9 second cars prepared pretty professionally. About 20 minutes walking around and seeing some engines I came to the conclusion. If your turbo is not at least as big as your head forget about it !!! Lol.

my main goal was to get a baseline run for the car with stg2 in this hot weather. I knew I was going to be one of the slowest out there. I guess no matter what, u can never be the fastest. U just try to better your time each time.

Thanks again ron for all your help especially lending me the pulley kit. When I get back from vacation may be I will come down to thompson so you can drive my car. I want you to give me lecture on how to cut better 60 footers.

  1. BGM130 - B8 S4 DSG REVO 1+ 12.70 and 12.44 on 93 and 100 respectively (could this be auditude’s dad’s old car? awe, revo, AK, dsg, etc)

  2. GrahamS4 - B8 S4 DSG bone stock - 12.87@108.6 on 93 (excellent DSG stock time)

  3. lordoftherings (and king of blurry timeslips!) B8 S4 DSG APR S2 104 map - 12.15@115.48

Are there any other outstanding times that need adding? I know a few guys have run disappointing summer times with various cars (a few of the 2014 B8 guys) but they may not want those on the list? I was going to add that B5 that went 10.9 but I haven’t seen definitively what his modlist was or if he was on slicks (he said he’d like to run 10s on street tires, which leads me to believe he had a track setup?)

You should also have someone to ask him to post the whole slip and not the cutoff version. I don’t think there is reason for him to lie, but if we accept a cutoff slip it will lower the lists credibility. Also, did he make a few good runs?

he posted a bunch of slips

Car ran very consistent. Very happy with tune. No issues. Only issue was bunch of runs 1st to 2nd gear hung up which cost me 1.5 to 2 tenths. I did not include those runs.

Those are great times. Is summit nhra/ihra ?

Not sure. Ronnie might know. It was my first time there. My guess would be NHRA.

You went out to beat on some Evos? lol

Great runs

I thought about going to the shootout with a buddy of mine, but the crowd is pretty young and DSMs have always been a hackmod type of car (I had a 1G when I was younger). You rarely see one that is done right IMO. They kind of remind me of B5s with all of the “self-tuners” and ebay parts. They usually sit in yards more than they drive on the street and the recipe to go fast is incredibly easy. The 4G63 was a great engine, but a bad group of owners can make it look very unreliable.

Who cares about the other guys. Run what you bring. Key word YOU.

You’re just scared.

AK, As I’ve already mentioned great results!

Saki, Yes, it’s the old Norwalk that was purchased by Summit 5 or so years ago and it’s NHRA…

So day started off shitty. Raining, track was still wet at 11am when they were supposed to start. By the time everything was organized and got started it was already 1:30-2:00 pm.

First passes of the day were garbage, car spun every time and short shifted 1-2 at around 5200-5400 rpm and ruined the passes. Then they started the Small Tire shootout events and the track prep got worse and worse and wait times went up, 1 pass every 20 min.

I was starting to get discouraged as it was getting warmer out and the headwind was getting stronger. As more and more cars were eliminated from the small tire shootouts, the Test and Tune/Grudge Racers were able to lap faster and faster. I finally got some good passes out, and they ranged anywhere from 11.7x-11.9x at 116.xx-118.xx, nothing too impressive.

I managed to cut a 1.6042 60’ using GIAC’s launch control, this is the fastest 60’ I have ever cut and the fastest I believe any S4 has ever cut as well. I will officially say the launch control is more effective as it netted me my best 60’s of the day. When it didn’t spin the tires of course.

The current record is 11.615@118.33MPH with a 60’ of 1.667 and a DA of -473

The best pass for me of the day was 11.6108@119.12 with a 60’ of 1.6569 and a DA of approx 450’ using a temp of 6 degrees C, 3 degrees dew point, 800’ elevation, and ambient pressure of 1000 hpa.
