REVOLUTIONARY RESULTS - Dragstrip database update notification thread

^^ Nice fact hunting, cory, didn’t know that!

interesting claim here…hope he backs it up

It is especially interesting, when only a few posts before that, he posted this…
12.77 hotlapping is slow? Give me a break. There is no na s4 going quicker than 12.85
That’s a very odd comment. So he went 12.90 on stock clutch, but he thinks it is impossible to go 5 hundredths quicker???

Further, he is jumping into an argument about quarter mile times, but he hasn’t checked any of the databases to make sure he doesn’t step in shit?

Jaybquick went 12.70 @ 111 NA
V6S4ryan went 12.83 @ 106 NA
another three guys have gone 12.86-12.89 NA

Since vwrcer is now saying he’s making 500+ hp with an M90/MP90 (which is impossible, as the supercharger manufacturer told us on A5oc when we had this discussion. It is capable of maybe 440 or so hp.), I guess we can be disappoint.

Most interesting to me about VWrcer going 12.77 @ 110 is that his Avant, if stock, full tank of gas, weighs about 3975 lbs. A stock RS4 full tank of gas weighs about 3950 lbs. So he is within 25 lbs. Mistro, in his stock engine, full weight RS4 went 12.78 @ 110 last week.

420 hp, 325 tq 3950 lbs = 500+ hp, 400 tq 3975 lbs???

I told him to back it up, he danced around it…so now I’m done with AZ and the delusional characters over there! What is even more laughable is He thinks that the day I joined a forum I bought my S4…what a clown. All I ask is that he show credibility and he questions the length of my ownership of an S4. Then the typical…these are not drag cars…the 4.2 doesn’t make good power ensues…classic
put the crack pipe down…You recently picked up your S and joined the forums. Audirevolution? seriously, so i suppose i should post up on euroaddiction as well? I have nothing to prove, Ive been in my S4 for close to 5 years now, so ive seen the aftermarket support come and go, hell my mod list very similar to yours, (plus a couple of things). Good luck with your quest. If you are not familiar, many of the early adopters to the b6/b7 platform have parted their cars out and moved on because the ceiling is not too tall for this powerplant.

I dont get off on comparing 1/4mile times. these cars were not built for that, but if thats your preference, dont let me be the one to stop you. Build your car for what you want to do with it, as long as you are happy.

Details:
APR Australia’s Golf R. It’s used for daily driving and primary is a circuit car. It’s not a purpose built drag car.

The vehicle is equipped with the following power modifications:

APR Stage 4 Turbocharger System with GTX Turbocharger
APR ECU Upgrade
APR Built Motor
APR High Flow Head
APR High Pressure Fuel Pump
APR Intercooler System
APR RSC Turboback Exhaust System
APR Low Pressure Fuel Pump System
APR Carbonio Intake System
STOCK GOLF R INJECTORS

It’s running on 18" VWR Wheels and MT Drag Radials and Sunoco GT+ 104 unleaded fuel.

Pretty crazy

Here’s some in car video from Phrost’s B8 S4 on APR 100 that went 12.63 @ 111 from a few pages back

http://www.youtube.com/embed/PpTpA8H7bmw?wmode=opaque

This should be interesting…

AZ B8 S4…Ryan something. His signature said he has a stasis tune, but it also shows APR pulley. Anyway…

“Yeah buddy! 11.67
Time slip when I get home to computer”

Search engine tips: the database understands things like “or” and “not”. e.g. this search string “b6 or b7 not fsi” will give me all the all the V8 S4’s but exclude all the FSI tags. Except for Mistro  he doesn’t have FSI in his RS4. “b6 or b7 not rs4” is better.

Pretty cool.

Also <> work

“>105 <110” give all trap speeds btw 105 and 110 mph.

yes, it’s a great database. Sure beats me making an excel spreadsheet, then screenprinting it into a jpeg image!

Worst “thank you for posting” message evar. I wasn’t going to take a photo of that sheet as it was never put up in the school hall. Glad I did though!

I am disappoint

Lots of new times to add. Pretty much everyone ran a personal best today (except me lol).

81 bear
Bangoman
Mistro
Axel

All ran their best times today. Good stuff.

wow great job mistro

Indeed. Mistro any plans for LW parts? Rotors/FW/CP? Prior to getting a tune or full exhaust? WOuld love to see what you could pull off once the LW parts are added.

Seemed like a great day at the track for you guys sans Saki lol. Good job fellas.

If you could’ve seen how much your rear tyres were spinning off the line, you would understand why. Crazy how much quicker they appeared to be spinning vs your fronts. Your centre diff was certainly earning its keep.

x2, not to discount Jnaut’s runs but with some LW parts I think you could hit similar times.

Very, very exciting to see the times RS4s can put down with smart mods and great drivers. It was disappointing in the past to see cars with every modification under the sun running shitty times due to hamfisted drivers. The slew of great times we’ve seen has definitely piqued my interest in getting back into an Audi
