REVOLUTIONARY RESULTS - Dragstrip database update notification thread

The best shift point ive found is about 6500 to 6800 im running 245/35/18 on rotiform 18x9.5 NUEs and

Just wondering why your shifting into 5th man…curiosity

ZCD what was the DA when you ran 12.60? It was 880 it looks like when you went 12.79

the diameter of my tires my speedo is reading 120 and tack at about 6800 thats why. I have run it out but same times so why over rev if no diff.

It was going up rapidly during the day, and my best run came halfway between a 1241 foot data point at 12:53pm and a 1404 foot data point at 1:53pm, so let’s call it 1300 feet.

Cool so that makes sense. The other guy who ran quicker was in some freezing cold temps in -500 feet of DA or something.

Also, what did the other cars that were there run? I love seeing what modern Euro cars run at the strip. Fun to see benchmarks etc.

[quote]Finally, something else sorta cool: 3 different people came up and told me that my car was gorgeous - that felt good! Also, the E55, F10 M5, and E39 M5 drivers were all surprised to see my “little” S4 pretty deep into the 12s!

Your car does look great. Those wheels really work well on Audis, and that colour + those wheels is a good match.

F10 M5: 12.2 @ 120 (spun like crazy most runs - owner said he didn’t have time at the lights to engage Launch Control)
CLS63AMG: 12.4 @ 115
E55AMG: 12.4 @ 115 (mild tune, according to the owner)
E39 M5: 13.3 @ 108 (Dinan)
Turboed E46 M3:13.0 @ 116
300C SRT8 (last gen): 13.3 @ 106 (exhaust only)
Charger R/T Hemi (last gen) 14.1 @ 99 (stock)

Thanks.

Congrats on your new best ZCD! Glad you made it back to the strip… Did Clochner attend?

Great times zcd! But the other times make me feel slow :frowning:

HPF? The HPF cars are to the E46 M3 world as the EPL cars are to the B5 S4 world.

INSANE dynos
LOTS of hype
SHIT performance when tested by anyone other than HPF

Those guys would have 100-200 MPH as the ‘performance benchmark’ if they could.

Thanks - it was fun!

Nah, he didn’t make it - had family in town, he said.

Weather’s looking promising for next Saturday, though, so I might head up there again, unless family life/duty gets in the way… :stuck_out_tongue:

Dunno - I didn’t ask them. There were 2 of them, running similar times and speeds. They’re obviously making some power, though, since they were running 116mph+. They couldn’t launch at all - 2.2+ 60 ft times…

yeah, but most of the HPF guys claim 550 WHP minimum to as much as 700 - 800 whp. Those power levels should be good for 125-140 mph trap speeds.

I don’t think any of them have even run in the 10s yet.

Here’s the HPF superstar…11.3 @ 136…making 700 whp

Yeah, I wish there were some easy way for me to update my screen name without losing searchable history, but I haven’t figured that out yet…

that’s why I used sakimano lol. Had a B6 A4 1.8T AVant, then a B7 S4 4.2 now a B8 A4 2.0T Avant + B7 RS4 4.2 FSI.

Naming one’s self after their current car can prove complicating. Just ask 2000S4 (who has since sold his B5 S4 for a slew of other cars).

Edit: Turns out I DO have a witness:
