RS4 for sale in Toronto

Congrats Jupiter. Smart move driving it back. Maiden voyage is always a memorable one.

Congrats on the new ride. Trully a very cool car. What are your plans for the new beast.

Thank you Justin!

I’ll stick to my usual mods - JHM tune, coilovers and full exhaust. I need to start brushing up on my options again. Full JHM is likely the route I would take but I’m afraid it might be too loud so I’ll look into various configurations. I love the stock wheels so no changes there except to clean them up a bit as some have a little curb rash. Full paint correction is in order with several coats of ceramic pro and some clear corner lenses and that should do it…for now. Haha!

I put the filler plate on and last night I installed 10mm MTM spacers all around.

just make sure you get the resonated exhaust. without resonators its way too loud. if u want to keep it even quieter then keep the cats but performance wise those primary cats really gotta go. I went with full jhm with their high flow cats and resonators and I absolutely loved the sound. the jhm lightweight crank pulley is also a really good mod for this motor. jhm intake spacers help keep heat soak out of your intake too and have been proven many times.

jhm exhaust
jhm tune
jhm crank pulley
jhm intake spacers.

that’s a very solid na rs4 that will run mid 12s all day long.

I still can’t tell whether I got an unlucky sample or people’s ears are different on the American continent but my JHM resonated exhaust and DP (with high flow cats) still has mind-numbing drone that is impossible to completely drive around. I’ve had a bunch of people in it now and “very very loud” or “headache inducing” is the general consensus. I have no idea why mine is so bad :frowning:

I’m thinking of trying to add some dead-ended tubes to to each exhaust pipe about 30 inches in length if I can find a decent place for them to go. If not I’m going to have to have the exhaust modded somewhere and probably kill half the performance gain it gave because it’s just too bad inside the car and makes it no fun to travel very far in. Outside the car it’s pretty acceptable and sounds great.

that’s strange I have 2 other guys close to me that both have the jhm exhaust resonated and they don’t drone. my car only had drone if the rpms were south of 2000. not once ever did I think (or anyone else for that matter) that it was too loud in the cabin. if I was u I would buy 2 more resonators and put them on each side and see how u like that.

what your describing is exactly what the non resonated exhaust does. I got to drive in a b7 wagon with the jhm non res before I bought mine and the drone was intense.

Thanks for you input and that was what I had in mind for the exhaust - definitely resonated and though I would typically remove the cats, I think I’ll use their high flow cats to eliminate the smell and help the volume. Don’t get me wrong, I love the sound but I’m also thinking about passengers.

agreed. I cant live with a catless car either. you end up smelling like raw fuel everytime u drive the car. the high flow cats worked great on my car youll be happy with them.

I have resonated and catted JHM and it’s awesome.

Performs great - (I gained about 2.5 tenths and 2.5 MPH trap just with the exhaust change from stock)
Sounds great - (see my youtube)
Doesn’t make you an asshole

That’s definitely the direction I’ll go.

In other news: the Toronto Car is getting a full detail, paint correction, removal of all clear bras and four coats of ceramic pro. This thing will look amazing once it’s done especially b/c it’s black.

why remove clear bra in favor of ceramic pro?

strong and doesn’t look haggard

if you’re commuting you might need something stronger for stone chips. But if you’re talking about a pleasure vehicle I wouldn’t consider clear bra. looks weird.

The clear bra was beat. It made the headlights look foggy and I wasn’t a fan of the seam in the front 1/4 of the hood. Ceramic pro wasn’t intended to act as a replacement for the bra. For protection, I might consider another clear bra for bumper portion below the headlights, it looked weird how it was prior.

Not to mention you don’t know how long it’s been on the car and the last thing you want is for it to start cracking. Your detailer will love you if you bring him a car with cracked clear bra lol

He was very pleased to see it in one piece!

Love that garage flooring, what’s that? Ohh and RS4 looks awesome too ;D

I had Premier Garage do the flooring, storage cabinets and other organizational type stuff. The floor is a polymer coating and I love it but don’t drop a bolt or anything small, you’ll go bonkers trying to find it.

The car and garage look great.

LOL about dropping a bolt I didnt even think about that until you mentioned it. From the looks of it that would be very hard to find a little black bolt.

agreed car a garage look great.

And as for the bra, i gotcha. Now i understand. I have my entire front end done. Id say 90% of people never notice and the 10% that do look for it because the front has no chips. You have to really look for it to see it. i cant stand that 1/4 or 1/2 hood stuff. Looks bad and tacky imo.
