[quote][size=14pt]A Massachusetts woman whose licence plate was revoked failed to fool police with the homemade one she put on her car.
State police said a trooper stopped the car Tuesday on Interstate 391 in Chicopee, about 140 km southwest of Boston. It had a piece of cardboard in place of a plate with a number crudely drawn in red coloured pencil. Above it, in a mix of upper- and lower-case letters, were the words “Aug Massachusetts” in blue. At the bottom, the forger had attempted to recreate the italicized (correct) slogan “The spirit of America.”
The driver – identified by the Boston Globe as 25-year-old Johanna Baez-Rodriguez - was charged with several violations including having a suspended license and revoked registration.
“Moral of the story, if you shouldn’t be driving, please don’t,” the state police said on its Facebook page.
For Chicagoland guys, the Audi dealer in Hoffman Estates is the nicest one I’ve been to in the area. Pretty big facility, great customer service, and an APR dealer to boot.
Big time player. When I looked into this a year ago Audi and Google in Nevada were the only two with licenses.
The person I was talking to about it had met with Larry Paige from Google, who was ‘driving’ an automatic Prius. He said it was really creepy. They went golfing, and Paige just told the car where the course was, and off they went.
It seems like JHM has a very strong following in the Great White North. It would be cool to see a world map with all the JHM supercharger cars on it. My guess is that Canada may have the higherst number of JHM superchargers per person, when you factor in the size of the population.
But, maybe that is not fair, because Canada probably has a much higher number of Audi ownership per person than the US, due to the weather and AWD.
I personally just moved to an area where a house similar to my NC home is nearly 3x the price. So my disposable income is being hoarded for a larger down payment in an effort to not become “house poor.” Also, we plan to keep our NC home as a rental, but my credit union considers it a liability until we have tenants for 2 years so that also takes away from our approved amount. It works out perfect though in my mind…save for the next year and a half, then buy another place or possibly sell the NC house depending on the market…the other half is not so patient though.
I’ll still be setting aside some play money for a JHM full back/tune though.
damn…I thought the numbers were higher up here since we seem to have a lot of Canadians on AR. Or maybe the Canucks are just louder than everyone else. LOL
