…and I still think I’m right, regardless of judgement. “catless” piggies is a fair description because both cats and pre-cats are gutted. I mean, would I be wrong to term my catless downpipes “straight pipes”? I have no pre-cats and its just a straight tube connected to my fullback.

The whole piggies thing involves the maintenance of the downstream cat, and the relocation of o2 bungs or use of spacers to fool the system into emissions compliance. Piggies are piggies.

You can call them whatever you like though. Call them slow4 downpipes, which is OEM downpipes with no catalytic material present, and with EPIC welds.

I’ve been dying to see the contract language which purportedly gives the Commissioner such wide-ranging authority.
I found that ruling shocking. I get that he’s an idiot (how dumb is he that he’s so serious about his racism, yet didn’t realise his ‘girlfriend’ is half black lol) but wow that whole ruling was a bit crazy. The aggressive banning etc is over the top trying to have the league distance itself from racism. You could simply have accomplished this with forcing the sale of the franchise, but the banning and the language therein is all for show. Baseball went through this with Marge Schott but didn’t have the craziness. A few of us were saying “OK…he’s a weirdo racist…but did I miss the part where he raped a kid at the half time show or chopped a bunch of black kids up and ate them???”
Once the president got involved it became pretty imperative that they get heavy. Crazy situation. That Sterling guy is just a gross old (he’s frigging 80) leather skinned weirdo. He reminds me of Jimmy Goldstein…they’re probably buddies.
I was surprised that the Commissioner basically has the authority nullify a team owner’s property rights based on private conduct that was not intended to be publicized (although now I’m hearing that Sterling consented to the recordings?).
It’s pretty astonishing, really. He’s the owner in name only now. He cannot step foot in his stadium, he has no say in how his money is being spent, and he cannot fire any of his employees. I would like to see the matter litigated to see how the courts would deal with a contract provision like that. Almost seems unconscionable.
In any event, I have no sympathy for the guy. He’s an idiot - doubly so if he consented to the recordings.

Ya his racist remarks don’t even make sense, given who he was talking to. Also, he does not sound impaired or anything in the tapes, so you can probably rule out the drug/alcohol excuse.
From what I’ve heard of the recordings, doesn’t it sound like the “V” woman was setting him up? Possibly having something to do with the lawsuit Sterling’s wife (I believe they’re still technically married) brought against her? Which in itself is pretty funny. I think that lawsuit alleges that “V” swindled Sterling out of ~ $4 million of marital property by seducing him. Some of the ultra rich really do live bizarre lives.
