Breaking in the guns is the best part. Is that all that’s in your collection?
The XDM is my conceal gun. I’m big enough that you can’t tell its under my shirt if I’m out. I don’t like to parade around with it. My state is an open carry state so, you can open carry.
I have an open carry gun even though I don’t open carry. If I was going to open carry, this is what I’d be taking.

You would think it’s harsh to shoot. With the front gas discharge, it’s not bad. It can be hard to keep the nose up if you’re not conscious of it. Other then that it’s a very accurate gun.
I love the .45 I didn’t want to buy a bunch of different ammo so, I have the 1911 .45 my XDM .45 and the XDMs .45 for my wife.
Damage at 400+ yards with a AR15 .556 through the iron sights that’s impressive. I just picked up something to help make sure I can hit 600+ yards with plenty of legs to spare. I just didn’t know if I was the only one with an interest in long range shooting.
My concealed carry gun is a SIG 1911. I also carry a spare 8 round Wilson Combat magazine in my pocket too.

I hope to start building my for AR in a month or so. Am settling on the exact build and doing a lot of reading on it right now.
Nice, assembling an AR was surprisingly simple. Some guys do it with vice grips only but I’d recommend getting a full set of roll pin punches
I have a few punches in my tool bag (lol working on RS5 stock calipers - so I have set) but I might get a dedicated set that have rounded ends to fit into the indents on some pins.
So what’s this about threats of executive action to “ban” AR-15 ammo?
Clearly lawless (but would you expect anything less by this point?). 21 months and counting - the end of his imperial reign cannot come soon enough.

Yeah, they’re moving to ban the M855 green tips. Most indoor ranges don’t allow them (nor do some outdoor ones), but still. It’s a slippery slope since there’s a lot of bi-metal cartridges around. Kinda glad I have a little stash of ammo, helps hedge against the market fluctuations…
I got an AK a few months back. Haven’t even shot it yet. Beemer is this photo saying don’t clean the rifle. Seems like people are all over the map when it comes to when to clean
I clean my firearms after every range outing.
I usually don’t do much cleaning maybe a quick wipe down. The advice is a
Linux over the place. Have you ever heard of a break in procedure.
I typically leave the slide/bolt locked back open for the first few weeks to help break in the recoil spring. I also keep mags fully loaded for a week or two to soften it up if it’s too stiff.
I just shoot it a bunch to break it in. My shotgun is still a work in progress (it is cycling 00 buckshot reliably now)

I really can’t wait for this shit to make its way through the courts. From a legal perspective, there is an enormous difference between what Clinton did and what DearLeader (obama) intends to do. Namely, D.C. v. Heller and McDonald v. City of Chicago revolutionized gun rights in this country in the past 7 years. The second amendment, from these two recent cases, has finally been interpreted to guarantee private rights to gun ownership. Any restrictions on that right (similar to restrictions on the first amendment) must meet what is called “strict scrutiny” in the legal world.
In short, while the administration may fantasize about “outlawing” certain ammo (and perforce the corresponding weapons), they have a huge hurdle to clear in the ensuing court battle.

I’m about done with the communist Obama party games. It’s the fucking second amendment and that right was put in place with the intention of the people using guns to over take the government if it grew out of control. It’s funny the same people that the second amendment was written about (government) are the same ones trying to remove it chunk by chunk.
