Shooting Shit Thread

I remember shooting my buddy’s AR where it went click but not bang. I kept it pointed down range (on target too lol) and waited for quite a while. After that, cycled the action and noticed a shallow primer indentation - he hadn’t cleaned it in a while at that point in time (lol partially why I’m religious in cleaning my firearms).

Reloaded the magazine and the next round went off. Re-inserted the round and this time it shot no problem.

I certainly didn’t look down the barrel nor stick any appendages in or around the muzzle lol.

Shot some shit last weekend. Apart from golf, I can’t think of a better stress reliever after a few grueling weeks at work. Anyway, this was my first time shooting my new shotgun, as well as my first time with sporting clays. So so much fun. We did 200 rounds in total. Shoulder was a little sore the next day lol.

I have more vids, which I may post later.

Anyone know the rate at which shot spreads out as it leaves the barrel?

IE how big is the spread at 10 feet, 20 feet, 50 feet?

^^ I have no clue on that one. I can say that, regardless of the spread, it was a bit more difficult than I expected. Some of the scenarios they set up for us were really neat - one of which required shooting almost straight up (perpendicular to the ground).

In 200 rounds, I may have hit 60 clays.

I think it depends on what you’re shooting and what type of choke you’re running.

Dude, that looks like so much fun!

I’ve only shot clay twice, but it was so much fun!

Will be doing that more this year for sure!

^^ thnx, man! Previously, I had only shot clays once, and it wasn’t the sporting clay scenario. This was much more difficult. I hope to give it another go later on this year.

We lucked out with the weather - it was about 55 degrees and sunny the entire afternoon.

Oh ya, the next day we shot a bunch of handguns.

I don’t get it

Some states have a “max magazine capacity”. So this guy used a “bottle” as a “magazine”.

Nice shotty!

Not a firearm but I just bought a folding knife as an EDC.

Benchmade 808 Loco

beem - what kind of shotgun is that? Looks very similar to mine.

PsYk - awesome knife! I’m standing up for a wedding in a few months (Best Man), and everyone in the groom party is getting personalized knives. I’ll post pics when I get mine.

Getting my restricted firearms license in a few weeks, any Canadians bother trying to import from the US? Prices here are pretty steep. I found some info online but it was from 2008.

Beemercer is that a saiga?

I picked up this BR99

Just about 20 yards with modified breecher choak

3 shots. Two on the left side and one on the right side just to see how tight the spread was, 00 buck. Not too bad for 20 yards.

so I’m best man for an upcoming wedding. Bachelor party (next Saturday) daytime activities involve extensive shooting. Now I’m told tannerite will be present. Can’t wait! ;D

^^ and without that gun he and his wife (or whoever was in the passenger seat) may be dead today. Good for that guy.

That fucking punk got what was coming.

I’ve started using defensive rounds in my EDC setup. I’ve also loaded up home defense pistol with defensive rounds too.

My shotgun however, still has 8+1 shells of 12 gauge 00 buck.

^^ such a nice looking handgun, PsYk.
