Man, owning a B6 S4 early must have been rough if you wanted to modify it.

The sheer number of guys who bought B6 S4s early in the day and were completely turned off of NA performance cars when the mods did fuck all is astounding. So many of those guys thought the b6 sucked because the crap products APR/AWE/etc were selling didn’t work…and that attitude about the B6 and NA Audis in general has polluted the fuck out of the forums. Dr GP, Dr Volkl…guys like them are a great example. They were stunned when I posted a video of my B7 running 12.9 with piggies and tune. They had told me a dozen times the NA cars don’t respond to mods like the B8 etc. (they both owned B6 S4s early…both spent thousands on crap…and both sold them and bought B8 S4s)

Anyone see me arguing with the B8 and B5 guys on quattrofail? They’re all talking about how the B7 RS4 is ‘slower’ than the B8, is not modable, etc. I showed them that 2 B7 RS4s have run 12.2 with bolt ons on pump gas. Nobody even replied to the posts other than to make jokes about other shit, or to get off topic.

It’s really incredible how ignorant the general community really is. As always there are people who know what’s possible, but god damn it’s annoying.

i was in that boat too man. i got rid of the s4 and got the rs4 cus i thought that was it and there was nothing more i could do to the car to make it faster, apr’s supercharger was always two weeks away and that was it lol. then i got the rs4 and was pissed when jhm blew up the b6/7 s4 scene. truthfully had they come out earlier i probably would have never had the rs. i ended up getting the b8 cus my history with the rs4 was an expensive one and every week it was something new and when i got a good deal on the b8 i had to bite. and i will say it has been much less of a financial burden on me lol. my rs4 was cursed from day one and should have been considered a lemon from the get go

You ain’t kidding. It was rough, but I waited it out and am now smiling ear-to-ear. I did look at other cars during the time, but I loved that fact that their was a V8 under the hood. Of course, now I will probably sell my B6 next year and get into something else, but we shall see…

On that note, my friend George will be happy to hear that his RS4 with JHM tune, downpipes, exhaust and clutch…which ran 12.2, a full 3 tenths quicker, but has never been dyno’d, must be making around 425 whp…right? And the JHM tuned B7 RS4 with the TVS1320 that ran 11.8 @ 119 on pump gas must be making about 525 whp…right?

So let me get this straight…the 380-400 whp GIAC 91 tune produced a 12.9 at what…108? And the 100 octane car ran 12.5 @ 114?

Here’s more perspective for you all. Iin 2008, the collossal failure/scam that was the VF Engineering supercharged B7 S4 Avant with a catback went to that same track with that same excuse riddled big HP M3 and that same density altitude (another cold night in the desert). He ran 13.0 @ 107…and the Eaton M90 was only capable of maybe 425-440 CRANK horsepower. He also complained that conditions were shit blah blah blah…all trying to explain away his shitty results. He was friends with none other than 1fastscammer

We saw B6/7 S4 times ALL MOTOR (tune/full exhaust) in the 12.7-13.0 range…and those cars made MAYBE 300-320 whp/wtq and weighed only about 125 lbs less than 1fastscammer’s car.

p.s. anyone find it funny that 1fastscammer has been to the dragstrip 2x in 3 weeks (that we know of) yet during 2 years with his VF supercharged RS4 he had a million excuses for not going? Just shows he was lying back then to protect the shitty VF product. This time he was foolish enough to pre-announce that he was going to the strip so he was stuck when a couple of other forum members went with him.
