Wonder if you’ll be able to beat my stock rs4 time. The manual m3 guys have no chance but the dct cars are equipped with launch control.
Looks beautiful Bear.
Tell me more about the track day…
Thanks man!
Wow… I thought I had it rough! Sorry you had to go through that twice.

No idea. It was very refined and quiet. Very comfortable ride but really more old manish for my liking.

Yup that’s him. Very nice guy!
But one thing I’ve realized is BMW people are very different from Audi people… ;D

please elaborate on the different stereotypical audi vs bmw people
please elaborate on the different stereotypical audi vs bmw people
Not so much a stereotype but more general observations…
Before I go any further I’ve been in the Audi scene far longer than BMW so my observations maybe skewed toward the Audi group.
I just find that the Audi group (you guys more so than AZ) are more analytical. You seems to be more concerned with performance improvements and quantifying them through various forms (1/4 mile, 60-130, Vagcom, etc.) vs. aesthetics. Obviously, looks are still very important to the Audi group but in a more subtle way and to a lesser degree…
The BMW guys I’ve spoken to seem to be the reverse. They are more concerned with aesthetics (front lip, rear diffuser, spoilers, etc.) than outright performance. This maybe a result of their age as in general they tend to be a younger group (20-30ish). Further, they aren’t overly concerned about measuring performance independently as they usually accept company dyno figures as fact. Also, I think the lack of a reasonably priced Vagcom(ish) tools (for the BMW) maybe another reason they don’t appear as analytically inclined as the Audi group.
Overall, everyone I’ve met from both sides have been extremely friendly but I feel I gravitate more toward the Audi group mentality vs. the BMW group…
