Stepping into a JHM Stage 1 kit

Here’s where his whining starts…

930, Oh and very awesome install pics such… thanks for letting us follow… Can’t wait to see some vids of the car in action… 1/4 passes please ;D

930chas where are you located? Did you ever take the Benz or GTR to the strip?

Thnx, Ron. FT always seems to find a way to bash the JHM kit. I noticed that he didn’t answer NY07S4’s question regarding whether he received a discount on the APR blower. That really should be disclosed.

No, he didn’t. He steered WELL clear of it. For good reason…he knows it casts a huge doubt on the remarks he posts. When the truth comes out, everyone should make sure it is well known that he is a spokesman with a financial benefit guiding his asshole remarks.

Then he jumped in to take another shot with his ‘belt chewing/throwing’ comment lol.

Guy is a fat pathetic waste of skin. I CAN’T FUCKING WAIT to see his car consuming oil in 6 months.

I am in Maryland. I ran the benz at the track about a million times. Best time though was 11.07 @127 in crappy da. Never ran the gt-r. I didn’t bond at all with that car. I also had one of the newer cts-v’s. Went 10.9@128 in that. I have a serious soft spot for turbo e46 m3s, and have owned 5 of them. Best run was 11.34@137mph on street tires. I ran a 5.63 60-130 in another m3.

Lets try this again…

OP don’t let the estrogen filled so called males on AZ get to you. Remember if they’re hating, then you’re doing something right! Looking forward to the end product!!

Your my fucking hero…lol

It’s great to see a true enthusiast…with awesome cars…that also isn’t afraid to drive the shit out of them!!! You couldn’t have found a better place than AR

I guess that’s a yes to my question!

Those are some serious cars. The traps on the M3 were pretty mental. Those cars are a battle eh? Seems like nobody can put the power down in the boosted E46. 137 should be enough trap to get you a 10.25-10.50. Those guys at HPF had a reward for the first one in the 10s. Not sure if it was ever collected?

Your other cars kicked some serious ass too. That’s fun to watch. Will be interesting to see how you like making 500+ whp with street tires and being able to put the power down. It’s almost cheating using quattro. I get that with good tires the RWD cars get the power down, but when you’re making 500+whp to the rear wheels, and are driving to the movies or to work, you probably have a set of Michelin PS2s or something on, not drag radials. So when you hoon it a little it gets loose real quick. The RS4 likes to slide a little too for sure, but getting power down is so much easier. Feels like you get more for your power money if that makes sense.

Your list of cars there is awesome - great stuff. What did you have done to the CTS-V to get it into the 10s? Isn’t that basically a 12.0 car stock?

You can go 12.0 if you’re an excellent driver. Trapping in the teens.

He went 10.9 @ 128, which means he must have been pushing around 600 whp and had some good traction rear tires on there. Tune, exhaust, headers, intake and pulley and you’re there I believe. really an incredible platform for power. I like how the CTSv looks the business too.

Saki, you definitely know your stuff. MT drag radials out back, headers, pulley, intake, ls9 cam, and stock exhaust. Just over 600 whp. That car was an auto. I really want a 6mt wagon. There is one for sale now in Texas that keeps calling my name.

Also spot on regarding the HPF cars. That chassis is not set up for the drag strip. I wasn’t willing to make the changes to get in the 10s. They are just perfect street cars and I didn’t want to upset the balance. By the way, no one ever collected on the 10 second pass from HPF.

While we are talking cars…I also pissed away a chunk of money installing a built 2jz motor into an e39 m5 body. I had visions of this being the ultimate sedan, but I did it wrong. Too big a turbo (boost took forever to come in and with that heavy chassis was a pig around town), wrong engine management system (aem v1–wasn’t adaptable to e85 and antiquated compared to proefi), and most importantly wrong company (motor blew twice due to injector issues). After that I had no interest in the car and sold it.

My 13.5 93oct video for my A4 was against a boosted E46 M3. My little A4 was ahead of the m3 until about half track where it just pulled away and ran a 12.2@124

He was having huge issues getting the power down.

Dude that’s a clean swap! I am sorry to hear that it did not perform like you wanted it to.

Damn, killer list of cars there, and even more awesome to see them used properly as they were meant to be abused!

Also, that’s a serious CTS-V time. Makes since with the DR, but most people don’t set nearly that good of an ET with them. A tough car to beat on the interstate though.

The E46 M3’s are pretty fun turbo’d, and it’s interesting hearing your perspective on them. Like you and saki said, it’s shocking how bad they perform at putting the power down on the track, but I’m sure they are pretty mental to drive around in. It’ll be interesting to see what they’re prices do as the E46 M3 continues to drop into the bastard child classification (not old enough, but too old to be considered new).

The E39 build is damn creative too. I’ve always loved the platform, and they’re dirt cheap. But as you mentioned they are relatively heavy and underpowered by todays standards. It sucks that HPF had a full TT kit built for it, but then never released. I guess it just didn’t work, but that would be the damn near perfect car to most BMW, or car guys alike.

Keep posting on here, and it’ll be very interesting to see your opinion of the RS4 once it’s finished. It should be a quite capable car, and it sounds like it’ll be in quite capable hands as well.

Omfg… You are my hero! Those are some amazing cars! And that’s an amazing swap! Seriously so glad to hear it was a quick fix with the belt!

Thanks much for the comments. Sharing the pictures brought back a lot of great memories. Hoping to start a new memory… JHM style… in the next few days, if this darn weather will cooperate. >:(

Btw Jake! Great reply on AZ, wonder what flying fatso will say next lol
