Stepping into a JHM Stage 1 kit

Glad to hear you are loving! Again, I apologize for those missing parts. I can’t wait to hear the full review of the kit! By the time you get used to it I am sure you will be opening her back up for stage 2 ;D

Jake

Don’t tease Jake!!! ;D

And seriously the missing parts were a non issue. You guys did great. Thanks!

Congrats.
Good to see all that hard work pay off. One slight hiccup with the condenser is no big problem and easily remedied.

Thanks much! And I agree, very pleased that this is the only issue.

awesome work 930 chas, i cant wait to fit mine!.
do you have any more installation tips? anything to look out for?, ill make sure i mount the condenser high enough and make sure i trim plenty of the plastic round the belt.
you have already saved me the job of removing and refitting the intake manifold twice. i was going to do a carbon clean and install my intake spacers that jhm have already sent over with some other goodies, then i read on AZ that step 30 of the fitting instructions you have to remove the manifold to fit a check valve. so glad i read that, thanks man!.

Thanks much! I am excited for you to fit yours also. Is it in route? The instructions are very thorough. Just set aside at least double the time you anticipate so that you can make sure everything is done properly. It is definitely a time consuming job. If any tips pop up, I will post them but right now my mind is completely blank. That is what a long hard week and a few glasses of wine will do.

Very impressive, sir!

That is almost like havjng a stock exhaust on the car…that and the fact you dont have that anoying screeming noise from the blower…ur car has to be a total sleeper.

it only are you installing this… You guys are getting all of Canada’s snow it would seem. When did the US northeast become more snowy than Buffalo and Toronto?

I am very very impressed with JHM! I will give a more detailed post later, but the fact that with the help of a couple buddies we could install a full supercharger kit on this car, start it up with the first crank of the key, drive it around town just like a stock rs4, and then absolutely beat on it with repeated pulls, all the while not having one issue…NOT ONE…is absolutely phenomenal.

Woot!

Awesome! Would love to see some vids if that’s possible.

Double w00t!

Ok. These videos stink, but don’t blame me, blame my son!

The first is a short pull to roughly 105mph. The second one was supposed to be a pull, but we got cockblocked by that silver car. The last video was the last of 5 100mph+ pulls. The car was heatsoaked but still ran hard. Also, the road may look wet and slick in the last video, but it is not. Wouldn’t mess around like that with my son in the car.

Have been following this from the beginning and had to say great work 930chas. You detailed posts will really help those of us on the other side of the world and not a lot of local mechanical expertise!

I must applaud your self restraint as well given the unnecessary drama around said build from the peanut gallery.

Pretty happy I’ve found a good no-bullshit technical forum for my new baby with plenty of members willing to get their hands dirty and test things the good old fashioned way.

Kudos to JHM as well, for the same reasons.

Keep the info flowing ;D

Sweet vids!

Glad to see you are having fun with it man! Be careful on the power shifting though, until you get some more mileage on the clutch! (500 city miles)

Jake, haven’t installed the clutch yet! lol. I knew I would want to beat on this kit as soon as the install was done so held off on doing it.

Haha, Smart! Now get the 5R in that beast!

Wahoo! Fun stuff. Engine revs climb fast, car sounds great!
