Yeah I live about 4 miles from Bandimere. I’ve heard about 3%/1000ft as well, but I’ve also heard 3% is more accurate for an N/A motor and that the supercharger combined with proper tuning can lower that percentage.
Man Saki, I hate you! Great info, it had to be quite the experience to drive or ride in all of the variations. I’m excited for the New Year, we should be seeing and hearing a lot soon.
BTW I saw my S4 in town today. The kid gunned it through a yellow light right in front of me as I sat in the opposite lane at the intersection. God that fucking thing sounded great…still looked good to. I almost chased him down to buy it back…lol
Great information.
Hey that California gas is all I got lol. It does suck.
Guess I will have to start saving for a stage 2 build. Damn unemployment checks better start coming in.
We actually put a PBOX on the stage 2+ JHM RS4 to test 60-90 MPH ( I tested every single car actually). I was with Dan, and I suggested I get out of the car (I weigh 240) to help the cause.
Dan let me out, asked what he had to do (I just told him to rip through 2-3-4 and it will take care of a lot of the data we needed) and he said OK, and rolled away while rolling up his window. He got on it half way through 1st, then ripped through the gears.
The PBOX showed 0-60 MPH in 3.9 seconds lol. Not bad for rolling away while talking to someone. The 60-90 time was retarded.
(forgot to post reply earlier, necrobumping a post inside a thread?)
Hot damn, 3076’s. Are you on stock block? Which tuner did most of the dial in work? With those turbos you can run anything from 650whp to 850+. But I’m guessing you’re on the tamer side based on the 60-130 with around 650-700whp (at least if that’s stock block). If you’re built I’d bet you could get even more out of it, but then it’s just the question of where to stop haha.
Either way, you’re probably trapping mid 130’s on the track aren’t ya. Pretty cool.
Gdamn I am so old, had to google what necrobumping meant. Super depressing.
Anyhow, you are spot on, it is a stock block running a soft tune ~650whp. My plan for early next year is to get a mafless tune from Todd, plus his intake and change to his 3" exhaust (because if you look up droning in the dictionary it will be a picture of my current setup )and make a nice solid 700whp. I think that will be as far as I take the car because just like you said, after that, where do you stop?
Cannot wait to back to mine. Dropped it off at JH Motorsport this July while we are in Kwajalein. Its the Black w/ black trim RS4 being SCed. Very excited.
I was passenger in the black S4 Avant (stage 2). Trakwagn?
It is pretty awesome if that’s yours. They’re putting miles on that car for the break in. When I was there they changed the oil and did an oil analysis between two of the stages.
The stage 2 supercharged car I drove was Dan’s Sprint Blue Rs4.
Where are you located again? nvmnd Vancouver right? I remember you were shipping that interior. Long ass journey for those seats.
There’s loads of supercharged RS4s now. IT’s cool.
for example a guy like Denis Silva in the bay area is typical of JHM’s core business. Someone with a car who rarely posts on forums if at all. The forum people like us are probably only 1/4 of the cars to get these big jobs done. There are boatloads of Californians who just go to JHM because they’re ‘local’ and they’re the 4.2 guys…but those people don’t always post on the forums.
Denis car just got done before I arrived. I believe marcusdubya’s car is also done (he’d have to check with JHM).
If it’s the black one with plastidipped window trim, I saw it there too parked up beside the office. Have you spoken to Jason lately? He said your car is pretty quick.
Then there’s another half a dozen supercharged customers out there that I have heard of. Not sure the total number.
Then you have guys like the OP of this thread, 930chas? His kit was being put together for shipping to him when I was there I believe. I remember seeing the shipping guy getting one together. The fucking Vortech is gigantic. It could suck a small child through the swirl.
