Pete is going to pick up your fresh sealed 5 gallon drum of race gas today from SK Speed. You will have plenty of time to have ECU adapt. Just come on over on fumes.

Prime- ya DA Thurs night will be very good. Temps will be low 30s, mid 50% for humidity, … all depends on atm pressure. If we get some 30.40-30.54 inch repeat nights… should be in -2000s again at our 5-10ft above sea level test track. ;D

I think you’re right that the fully modded s4 should win (Pump gas) , but it’s a lot closer than people think. Even bone stock m3.

The day 81 bear went 11.7@119 an m3 with tune and piggies was trapping 114-115. Manual car. Put the dct in there and it would be interesting.

Bear had every mod pretty much other than the debatable headers, and ran pure 110 remember. I believe his best ever trap speed on pump gas was 114 or so. Take Away his cps and lw wheels and what does he trap? Not sure what the fastest trap ever for a pump gas b8 is but m3 can fly. Seems the newer ones are getting faster despite no publicly announced changes. When car driver tested the RS5 m3 and ctsv, the RS5 trapped 112 which is what the two or three we’ve sen at the strip trapped (Arin, Australian guy). The m3 in that article went 12.4 @ 114 I believe.

I really hope he shows up (m3). Kid is not in my top 5 of reliable people I know. M5 guy is more reliable. Should be fun regardless.

I just want to really see how much difference the headers really make. We have a good database of 100 octane runs.

At least the differences we can see with speeds in the 40-130 range. Richi has his 19 inch titaniums back on - so BBK is only real lw mod to offset. And that shouldn’t be much.

I am also sure Nick (revo) and some of the other guys will be doing dig run- that is if we don’t wake up the entire south shore of Long Island :wink:

Though I’m sure you already know this but in my experience the fastest way to have the ecu fully adapt is by doing several consecutive hard pulls… each time you should notice your car getting faster… Once it stops let her cool and then repeat… If you just drive the car around normally it will take day’s for the ecu to fully adapt. Take my last outing to TMP, I drive to J’s house and filled up with 110 and drove about 30 - 40 minutes to the strip the whole time driving pretty aggressively… my first few passes my trap was 114-115mph… after about 5 -7 more passes in 15 - 20min time frame my traps was consistently 118-119mph for the remainder of the day.

A few WOT passes while he is spotting for others (bunch of us are going) and on way there will have him nice and adapted. I have done a ton of race gas testing there … Usually do 6-8 runs with plenty of cool down (doesnt hurt that it will be 32-35F). After run #5- times usually stay where they are.

Prime I have some. Might use. I found a local dealer so I have constant pipeline of it. My garage is a giant bomb in the making. and that’s not me in that pic lol. I’m not that dark. My pain management MD buddy picked some up for me. Knee injections on patients for race gas always works lol.

Tsivas, Gotcha… The Shell sales rep I dealt with last year is hopefully going to stock it for me this year so I don’t have to pay freight each time I want some… Damn shipping was almost as much as the gas! LOL Oh and that looks more like your basement than garage! LOL…
