Another dude drove Luis’s car. It was a combination of removing some shit from the trunk, the right stretch of road and probably a nice cool down session between drivers and more adaptation.
Might have also been a fluke run too b/c second run was in 11.1 range.
All my runs including the 12.08 were on a 57 lb setup…FWIW, anyone running stock peelers is at a disadvantage, but I wouldn’t guess any more than a tenth in the 1/4, per 50 lbs rotating mass. Hmmmm something to calculate…
Salmon, I’m planning for next weekend, if the weather is good…I’ll let you and Bear know if I’d be bringing the other car, but it would be for the strip only
I’m guessing 275/35r18 RS-3s, 18x9 and yes SSR type Cs. But then I get 27+17 = 44 lbs, still crazy light.
How are the RS-3s beem? I may try either those or the newly released dunlop ZII…it’s funny but Dunlop went wider than anyone else thus far with the ZII, about 0.4" wider in each size than others.
wow, beem. 235/40zr17…that’s the size I have on the FRONT of the NSX, the rears are 275/35ZR18. Cheers to you for bucking the trend going with 17s…the smallest, widest wheels that fit over the brakes, that’s ALWAYS the way to go.
Sadly the 18" forgestars I wanted to use for winter/track didn’t fit over my brembos, I had to go back to stock brakes for the winter…adds a couple hours now to my seasonal wheel change, but heck, maybe worth it for the life of the Brembos. Would have been nice to have a 42lb setup for the track…
The rs3s were awesome tires in my experience, I never tracked the car and I’m not the best driver so I doubt I ever pushed the car to the limits except launching it where they’d spin a few turns then hook up hard.
I still have them (wheel and tire) and I’d like to put them on my Coupe quattro at some point.
Yeah they were 255s that were massively oversized. I measured them out to just under 10-3/4" wide on the wheel
Thanks, I wanted a wheel that meant business and didn’t give a shit about what everyone thought looked good. I thought they looked mean, and the way they changed the car’s dynamics was incredible. Sadly I only got to wash them maybe once before they met an untimely demise.
Thanks Tsiv, anytime man. I think Tony’s response was best, “hoooooooly shit dude, wtf.” lol. Guess he’s a believer in the tune/exhaust combo now ;D
I will, you know I will. The sooner the better da wise but you know I have a ton of shit going on right now. I’m hoping Thursday night if you’re around. THat would be the earliest I could possibly do.
