You should chart your cars times vs density altitude

Test it five times in a month at various density numbers. See how much it is affected. I bet it’s really huge.

I’ll work on that for sure! I’m also going to work on putting them all in order per tune as you stated once also, that will make it a lot easier to read.

Tony’s RS4 and his buddies C63. Just for reference his last carbon cleanup was 11k miles ago.

what’s with the DA difference?

how’s Tony’s driving? is he starting in 2nd or 3rd?

Have they raced? Get them to go from a dig and from like 20 MPH

The C63 went on one of the hotter nights before a rain storm, in fact it started raining 5 min after there run. Tony went a few days before on a frigid night…

Tony starter in 3rd and shifted 4th… Tony is a good driver, not the best shifter but I think he holds his own.

Here’s the most updated list…

I will update with RS4 time and C63 time when I get on my PC.

I may try to get my car to the 1/4 now that the temps are dropping.

I found my times were sometimes better starting in 2nd. An RS4 in 3rd gear if he rolls into it from 50 mph and starts the clock at 60 mph, he is going to be at like 4000 RPM to start and the clocks start at 4800 so that’s decent, but the RS4, when ripping it, likes to be up around 5500+. It’s the sweetspot. You can’t forget that you can push it to 8200. It’s weird thinking of starting a pull at 5500+ I know.

When I start in 2nd, I am at at 60 at 6800 so you’re shifting at 8200 which is pretty soon, but if it saves a tenth, so be it. Need to be good at the 2-3.

I’m sure some guys will go to Cayuga soon. Keep an eye open for threads.

Nice! You’re one of the cars I want to see #'s on as I think you will do well…

It’s the last Wed. TNT for Thompson this year and the weather looks decent… As long as I don’t get held up at the office or have to p/u my son I’m there… Semi called out by an older gentlemen with a cammed/full exhaust/sprayed(100) 01/02 TransAm… Was at my buddies and his neighbor came over to check my car out… As we were looking at the car and talking he casually asked “hey did you ever consider taking this to the strip to see what it would do”… I was like yeah it’s been to Thompson for a few hundred passes to which he looked at me a little like WTF! He asked what it ran and when I told him he flat out didn’t believe me… lol I didn’t have any slips in the car so I gave him my youtube username and told him to see for himself… He then told me he would rather run me and wanted to know if I would go to Thompson on Wed. I said sure if I can make it and I told him I would let me friend know either way… I later found out that he ran 12.0 at 120ish with a 2.0 60ft time since he is only running DR’s, at least that is what he told my friend… Was a warmer day also so probably not the best DA… Cars a 6-speed as well so he has to be on his game… If I go I’ll try to get it on vid…

You should beat him in the S4 first then the TTRS on race gas after.
