Alright guys figured I’d chime in here before things got out of hand. I’ve known Auditude for a few years now and I can assure you he LOVES to exaggerate things to an exponential rate. This doesn’t mean he’s a bad person like many of you are making it seem like, he just gets excited way too fast ;D.
That being said I did do a pull againts his dads B8 S4 (REVO) and by no means did he pull away like he made it seem, the G was ahead but wasn’t gaining much or pulling away hard (mind you I was still getting used to the car). I know what the car is capable of. Did some VBOX logs last night to verify how quick this car really is and it can be seen above from the graphs/numbers Mr. Logs a.k.a tsivas27 put up. 10.1 vs 11.8 is pretty clear atleast in 60-130 times the S4 isn’t touching it.
The Gallardo is definitely faster than the B8 & I can’t wait to see what it does on MS109, bottom line is GPS does not lie and who knows maybe I was sandbagging that night just to get them excited :D. (I do that often) Down low it may be closer because DSG is crazy and a gated 6 spd shifter definitely takes some getting used to but the way this car pulls up top is incredible. That is all, carry on.
P.S: I will be twin turboing this car most likely a UGR kit we’ll see.

throw some pics of that thing up. And video if you have it. My favourite sound is that V10. What colour is it?
UGR will be a tad ridiculous. Sounds like it will be fun.
p.s. what do you think is a fair cost for a carbon clean on an RS4? You can PM me if you want. Carbon clean + oil change I guess.

Carbon cleaning we’re doing for $850 right now including oil change. Parts & labor.
Wish I was closer I’d get that done just to see what 35,000 miles have done to the car. Since it ran a 12.75 quarter mile last month bone stock, I imagine it’s not terribly bad, but curiosity is getting the better of me. I’ll need to get it done before I put the carbonator on anyway.
Welcome Kai! lol.
I’m volunteering right now to do any onboard video required once the UGR kit is installed. I’ll be wearing a helmet. k back on topic.
kai can your first video with the ugh kit have a large breasted girl in the passenger seat ;D
Love those vids ;D
Although the Supra one I saw a while back will be hard to beat. I’m all for competition though!
I had the pleasure of helping vbox 2 RS4’s last night on our private test track.
Paul was a little hesitant to come out and doubted my expert weather forecasting that I have down to 15 mins accuracy with storm end time and road dryness. LOL. ;D You can now tell I do this wayyyy too much.
Anyways… DA last night was about +565 and it definitely affected the results. Both guys weren’t that prepped for the testing (I heard about tools and shit in trunk, I heard about half tanks of gas, about A/C being on, about 225 degree oil temps… the list goes on LOL) just busting some balls. What we did find out is how off both speedometers are and how we couldn’t get ONE DAMN 130 blast.
Hopefully we can go again and get a 130 time. It’s also good to see how DA effects times as the previous -1100 DA time a few months ago was much faster than last night.

I will post up graphs of elevation stuff later. Thanks again fellas for coming out. Seems like their cars are pretty damn close as far as performance goes.
^^^they’re both pretty much stock where it counts…tune and downpipes. The difference is Tony has a little less rotating weight, and that’s the gap for the most part.
Heat sucks.
Tsivas great work gathering data for all these cars. It’s fun to look at for numbers nerds like me. I could look at this shit all day. Performance testing is far more relevant than dynos and stuff. Good for everyone to see.
Tsivas ;D. Fun stuff for sure.
I am interested to know what the delta would be on a similar night with an 8th of a tank and an empty (stuff not seats etc) car. Probably very little but would be fun to measure the difference the weight of fuel makes at the various fill levels.
The speedo is off for sure, more than I remember. I’ll bring my old dash mount GPS next time with the instant speed rating (very large font & easy to read) and will use that as a guide to when I should let off. I’m also more familiar with the strip being used now and can make use of the time spent there more efficiently.
My signature on AZ is incorrect, I should get around to fixing it. No X pipe and no K&N air filter. Other than that I think it’s spot on.
Heat is a bitch but will be a good base to check against in the winter months…assuming I’m still in this configuration.
Thanks again for taking the time to put this data together. Applause for you coming up.
^^^let me help you with that…
the difference between 1/8th vs. full tank is about 85 lbs
the difference between having shit in your car (golf clubs etc) and not is like 50 lbs max. That’s about 135 lbs max, and
that’s about a tenth at the dragstrip (i.e. a tenth from 0-110)
although…we’re just about to put one of these in your and tony’s cars, from what Tsivas said above
http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j158/ainoble/excuses_for_ricers.jpg
lol - never made excuses.
Only said I’d be interested in what the difference would be IF (insert all the variables I mentioned.)
Listen MR PERFECT, your’re the one who drills into peoples heads to make sure they follow your 1/4 check list. FOr example, you leaving your manual at home, lol and you arriving on fumes…don’t be a hypocrite. Your’re the same way when it comes to that shit. Every little bit counts.
I know I do. But you didn’t listen.
tsk tsk tsk
I did find that meter pic funny btw.
No idea why “you’re” is coming up as “your’re” when I use my iphone? Anyone else have this issue???
HAHA!
Been out the game for a while but now I’m back and figured I’d catchup on some lite reading! ;D
@Tsivas27 you’ve done an awesome job compiling this list of performance numbers across the various B8 S4 tunes (Revo, APR V1, APR V2, stock, etc.).
One test that I think is missing, and would be very interesting, is a delta comparison of all the tunes in much warmer conditions (amongst each other as well as their winter/spring times).
I remember APR claiming that their tune is optimized for balanced performance across an array of weather conditions. I’m really curious to see how Revo’s and GIAC’s perform!
Thoughts and/or predictions?
The revo will still do well.
No idea on giac because we have no data on them…just the stuff from the giac dealer…a.ka useless.
