Went to the dragstrip today with the RS4 + JHM exhaust

Saki, you just described how easy it is to get good at a 1/4. That there’s not much room for improvement. I can assure you that right now there are very few if any amateur level people who have run a faster laptime than me at VIR. So I am fast on a road course but ur telling me I can’t drive in a straight line? You make no sense.

Are you still EPL tuned? So basically stock.

I told you that you failed miserably and ran a shit time, then lied about it. You never went back according to you. I also said that the dragstrip is easy to bang out a good time after you go a couple of times and know what you’re doing. This doesn’t apply to you because you went once in shit conditions, ran a shit time, and from the looks of it, didn’t listen to anyone’s advice on how to do it. Nor did BadBlueRS4.

When I said that it’s easy to do well, I was explaining to you that I have taken my car(s) to the dragstrip about 12 times. So from the 11th to the 12th, I’m not going to improve driver skill measurably. In fact after 2 trips, I had squeezed all driver gains out of it. I never went faster in all the other times I went when I was stock, since the 3rd time.

Remember…you werre trying to cast dispersions on the gains made and chalking them up to me improving my driving skill. You tried this once you realised you were owned about Michelin PSS which actually made me slower in testing.

No he listened to us and ditched the EPL tune.

Haha you guys must work desk jobs, I can’t even keep up with this thread lol!

Sub’d for lunch reading.

How can I be owned about tires when it’s factual that people who track their RS4 use PSS’s due to superior grip. I couldn’t care less about what u try to explain away. Fact is fact. Whether it helps in a 1/4 and to what degree, I have no idea and neither do you. but to say it’s 0 impact is silly. That’s my only point.

No…on the contrary. I do know. I have tested PSS tires vs. Continental ContiSportContact2 and Toyo Proxes R.

Toyo were best
PSS and Conti were worse

You intimated that PSS could be helping my times, thus the delta between my stock and exhaust times could be explained by the tires. I then told you that I have stock data on PSS, and I cut 1.88 60’ as my best, and I went 12.81 as my fastest ET, on a day when DA was 2000 feet better than my modded times where my best 60’ was 1.78 and my best ET was 12.53. The delta…was BIGGER when stock on PSS vs. modded. The testing has been done. By me. Same guy, same track, hugely disparate conditions that favoured the stock runs on PSS…and the modded runs on PSS dominated. Why? because of the exhaust. Simple.

You ignored that because your attempted trolling get firebombed with facts.

You guys are dumber than fuck. You are here to torll and that’s it. Enjoy being banned (again) and get the fuck out. If you want to discuss facts, let’s do it. If you want to be ignorant, go back to iphone chat or quattrofail.

I think it was the golf shirt that provided all of the gains…period

And your ignoring that it happened 2 years apart which means it could be different track prep/skill level etc. I guess everyone picks and chooses what info to pay attention to? Stop acting like a rabid dog. Clearly there are gains. The more methods to quantify them the better.

Now it is the track prep ? lololol. How about the moon phase? or my breakfast?

Let me know if you guys have anymore theories.

Great testing and great results Sakimano.

A very well known, very well respected company once and many times said “All too often performance upgrades show improvements during a single dyno pull, but lack the ability to show the same performance in real world conditions.” In each of their product releases.

Lots of potential customers have been trained to want ‘proof’ but have accepted less as more. Sure JHM could start putting dyno sheets out for ‘proof’ Just let us know when people start driving to work, events or their general destination on a dyno and we will make sure to get those people a dyno sheet. Till then, the mass public drive on the street and it makes more sense to give more data then less. The JHM testing is extensive and goes beyond what people have been given in the past. JHM offers end user road ready results, taking testing beyond what most other companies even think about doing. Going that extra step to show the product works in the ‘real world’

Are you implying track prep is irrelevant also? Few times I’ve watched drag racing I’ve even seen 1 lane be better than another at the same track on the same day. There are numerous variables at a strip to account for varying results. Use of 1 piece of data is nice, but more is better.

No, I was laughing at you.

You know who complains about track prep? People who run shit times. I ran great times, both before and after exhaust. In fact, if we go to Audiworld, you and badblueRs4 were implying my stock record of 12.75 was too good to be true, and attempted to claim I had mods…or was lying. Funny…now you’re saying the stock time wasn’t good (for various reasons…tires, track prep, driver skill) in order to minimize the delta the exhaust provided. The very exhaust you fucking ninkompoops bought!

BYE BYE (I’m still laughing)

Bye sweety. Hugs and kisses!

This has been overlooked too much. I’d like to see a test with different brands of golf shirts to PROPERLY QUANTIFY the results.

Here are the facts:

J. Lindenberg = 12.53

Lets see:
Nike
Adidas
Callaway
Puma
Under Armour

I don’t know, track prep can make a huge difference especially for an AWD car. Is this stuff for real?

My experience with exhausts across a variety of platforms is that more often then not when a company comes out with the lastest and greatest exhaust and backs it up with a great looking dyno chart showing nice gains, it never ever lives up to the hype and it never ever backs that power up in the real world. JHM just bypassed all that dyno crap and proved that this exhaust actually makes power in the real world. You can’t ask for much more then that.

Better yet, track prep on the first day of the year when they were expecting only about 30 cars (and got 12). Yeah, I’m sure they went to town prepping Cayuga last Saturday lol.

Behaviors online reflect who you are as a person. I was offended by your treatment of JHM vendor representative Jake, and believe that you were insulting. You intentionally baited him with personal swipes while he was representing his employer.

If I witnessed that in a professional setting, I would council you on unacceptable behavior, and map out both corrective actions (personal apology to Jake), and preventive actions (a training and awareness course on emotional intelligence).

If I witnessed that in a personal setting, I would call “time-out” and ask you to clean it up. If you continued, I would remove you from any contact with my trusted friends/family. People that desconstruct relationships hold no value to me.

However, we are on an internet forum. The place where people can behave poorly, with little to no consequences. Your written word speak volumes for the type of person that you are. If you really are a person with honor and integrity, and your comments have not been representative of your character, then you would apologize to Jake.

Some consumers will just never be happy. They are unhappy because they need more quantifiable data such as a dyno, but the. When you give them a dyno to put in their scrap book and then they actually throw their own car on a dyno. If they don’t make the numbers advertised they will also be unhappy! They will not be able to think logically or compare dyno type, conditions, fuel used…they will just have their panties in a bunch because they made less than expected.

Dayton’s just likes to argue about nothing with his troll friends

Zmon openly admitted that they were trolling to fish for reactions.

In the end, any person viewing the data given with half a brain will see how great of an upgrade the full exhaust is. This fiasco is no different than any of the JHM arguments in the past from whiny bitches. We have been seeing this BS in the B6/7 world for years, guys like me did before and after dynos for tunes+exhaust, but that was also never good enough because people wanted to know what tune only made…just DPs…just a catback…tune and just catback. There will always be trolls or idiots that want to argue, in the end they will STFU and buy the product or buy something inferior to prove a point and be slower than everyone else. A great example of that would be Daytona’s EPL tune.

This is a great point. No matter what, they bitch. They don’t want information. They want to bitch and troll.

A couple of yeras ago we had guys going to the strip with tune and exhaust, and this same type of whiner would complain that the $2800 exhaust isn’t worth it because the tune could be making all of the gains. So, to highlight what the exhuast only gains are, I posted this information to help people out. As euroswagr said, the troll crew just attempted to ruin it rather than be happy that the information requested was provided.

Another good point. That guy is lost. He had EPL tune, then ditched it and got something else. Probably APR. He had Milltek then ditched it and got JHM.

From the get go, however, the people on this site told him to save his money and to just buy what we have seen works best. Did he do that? No. He did the opposite, spent thousands, got in fights dfefending his bad purchases, get destroyed and owned in the process, and has come full circle and is now buying the stuff people told him to buy back in 2011.
