Where are all the fast EPL 1/4 mile times? (NO FATS, NO 60-130, NO DYNOS)

I don’t accept your deal. But when I run better than a 10.99, something you said I would never do, to not only me but multiple people, I will have proven you wrong. Thats worth a few axles and a rear end to me. You’re worth proving wrong.

Can you collect how many of the cars that went to the track were EPL cars?

when did I say you will never run 10.99?

the power your car makes it should run 10.99 for fun. I doubt it, but I believe what I actually said a while ago was

a) the 770 cars making 600+ should run 10s @ 135+
b) the 605 500whp cars should run low 11s @ high 120s

And I said if you do b) I would congratulate you. That was when you were making 500 whp, remember?

Now that your car has been tweaked and is making nearly 600 whp, you’re closer to category a) but to be honest if you run 11.40 or lower, I’ll congratulate you and put you on the list happily

That’s what’s funny about you…you don’t realise that I applaud success. Ask TTS…ask jfonz…ask anyone. I will break your balls if you shoot your dyno sheet all over the place, then avoid the strip like the plague. But if you back it up, I’m first to say ‘way to go!’.

I hope the new reality on these forums will turn into the tuners posting dyno sheets but doing so coinceidentally with a quarter mile timeslip that reflects measured performance that is commensurate with the supposed power. That protects all of us from being disappointed by dyno hype and fly by night companies who start showing up and posting pretty graphs (which is the current reality in b5 world sadly. It didn’t used to be that way…the tuners used to love going to the strip and showing off). You know that in almost ALL the other performance car forums, the dyno means fuck all without a timeslip? Isn’t that funny? Not sure why we’re all so fast to believe the dyno.

give me a second.

yeah dude, easily. I have the combined quarter mile databases from all the forums, and can sort by ANYTHING. ECU is one of them. The top 50 B5 S4s have only 2 (two) EPL tuned cars.

I don’t have the washington guys (burningcoals and whoever else) because they didn’t post up their timeslips. That’s common with the EPL guys…they go…they run…then they don’t share the times or timeslips. Odd.

Here’s the entier 150+ audi quarter mile times that have been entered on the list, sorted by EPL tuned cars. (note EPL in the sifter above ECU)

two out of how many is what I’m asking.
here is one quote from you, which is pretty much a kind way of saying I won’t be in the 10s.

there’s 2 EPL cars out of the top 50 B5 S4 times and the fastest was actually a tweaked EPL file (and it was 13th…NYCVR6). Next best was 12.00.

lol I said I’ll be impressed! Nice try dude. I don’t know how you take ‘I’ll be impressed’ to meaning ‘you will never run 10s and I will write an apology letter if you do’

10s is fucking amazing. If you do it, you’ll have blazed a trail for EPL tuned Audis.

There MUST be other EPL tuned cars in the 11s. If you know of any (as I’ve asked on every audi forum on earth) please fowrward the info so I can add them to the list.

I haven’t posted any dyno sheets since i’ve gotten the car back. I only spoke of dyno numbers on AZ and I won’t be posting any of that until I prove you wrong. It is proving you wrong Saki, and it’s proving your “data” wrong. Plain and simple, you are only appeased by 1/4 numbers, I know that. I am saying, your data isn’t everything you think it is worth, I am saying you were wrong to say you didn’t think it would run 10s and you should apologize to EPL and jason@AMD for calling them liars and incompetent.

Get ready for a trail to be blazed! I’ve had multiple people who own and have driven 10 sec cars tell me they think its possible for this to do 10s on pump. I’m not sure if it is, I’m going to try racegas first, then pump. As far as Waterfest goes, I’m bringing Ice and fire exstinguishers filled with CO2 to keep that cool. Plus I’m going to try to chill the fuel and put it in last minute. All the tricks to keep it cold.

lol nice try. You were talking on AZ about dynoing like 580 whp or something. You think because you didn’t post it here, it doesn’t count?

p.s. I noticed you have not addressed the topic at hand…rather you are diverting attention from the absolute disconnect between EPL tuned car dyno results and their 1/4 mile performance. Any chance of you staying on topic? Or sexican? Or anyone?

I would love to hear some theories.

waterfest will suck. It’ll be 110 degrees, there will be 4 billion cars in staging, and you’ll run terrible times relative to your car’s true capability. It will be cool to see you face Hunter’s car though. Even though he’ll be limited to probably 450 whp vs. your 580 whp.

I am on topic. How many epl cars are in your sample.

It will be cool, and hunter and I won’t avoid racing each other. You are painting a picture that isn’t true. It will happen before the track. It will happen the week I get home.

I can’t speak for anyone else. I have only been a tial car for like 3 months and in those months, I haven’t had the privledge to see a track. And in March, April, May (here in WA it rains). The TnT happen on Wednesday and Fridays and both days I have to work. I’m just waiting for a nice sunday day where it’s not raining to go to the track and just make a few passes.

And when I finally get to run, don’t forget this will be my 2nd time ever to a track…

are you kidding? I explained this explicitly and then even screen shot the 2 epl times for you.

thats cool dude, looking forward to it

any thoughts on why the EPL tuned big hp cars aren’t on the list? Not your car…you have your reasons. I mean the hundreds of other EPL cars in general.

Diddn’t see the last one. So out of 150 cars there are only two epl cars that are even entered? Come on man, you can’t make assumptions off of that…

My story is the same as Sexican. I’ve made efforts to show you I am going and I’ve had the car for 2 weeks.

there are only two, yes.

I think you’re missing the point though…the B5 list stops at low 12s. That’s where the EPL times stop too.

What are the Tial EPL tuned times you know of?

burning coals - mid 12s
some other 605 guy the same night - 12.2 @ 119 or 120
then there was an AMD K04 and K04/RS6 hybrid that night…and they were slower still.

So sure, I could put those times in for you. Then there would still be zero EPL tuned cars under 11.999 (just NYCVR6 and his K04 car with an EPL tune that he tweaked himself…i.e. not really an EPL tune).

Trust me, I’ve asked this question here, on AZ, on quattrofail, on audiworld…and I can’t get EPL times in the 11s.

Call the EPL guy himself and ask him for some Audi times that he knows of and can link us to or at least give me something to search from.

I am not missing the point. That is an unfair sample dude. I am saying you cant come to a conclusion by such a small sample. That’s unfair Saki. You have to understand/admit that it isn’t sufficient to conclude anything for sure. As far as NYC’s tune goes, yes, he may have tweaked it, but EPL did the main tune. You can only tweak in so much so don’t write it off because of that.

Honestly, even if I asked, I don’t think they would go and ask their customers to give them timeslips. It isn’t worth their time. It’s just the way it is. That doesn’t mean you can conclude off of having less than %4 of the cars be from EPL being in your list. I would think you could just rather conclude that people who have EPL tunes don’t go to the strip or post on-line. Those assumptions seem more feasible.

He doesn’t get it
