who gives a shit about tires for the dyno, seriously. I think what the dyno is telling you is that there’s no point in using the dyno to test your car. Street tune it. Log parameters and accelerate. Review and re-adjust. What’s a dyno telling you? It’s giving you an inflated sense of confidence because there’s a loaded up power curve that maybe doesn’t reflect what the car is doing on the road, and a giant peak number that feels like an accomplishment, but at the end of the day it’s just a number printed on a piece of paper. And you still ran high 11s like a K04 car circa 2006.

Basically your car is a 60-130 killer. That’s what you’ve built. I would focus there, because going 11.5 @ 140 isn’t going to really light the world on fire. Go over to 6speedonline and find someone with a Performance Box and do some 60-130 stuff because that’s where you car will shine. If you built something with an epic curve and a good tune and can rocket through 1st and 2nd, sure hit the strip. But I don’t think you’ve built that. You’ve moved power so far to the right that the strip is just going to continue to confound you.

Oh I totally agree with you… I have done all my tuning on the street. And I continue to do so.
The reason for the dyno trip was just to get a baseline on where she sits on the dyno.

I do think (hope?) a 10 second pass is capable with good driving and good tires… I’m working on the first and need to save up some pennies for the later!

I’m actually having someone send me their vbox this week to get some numbers. From logs it’s in the 5 second range for 60-130 but that’s just logs… I haven’t been throwing those numbers around because there’s no point until they are gps recorded with road data to go along with it. But I’ll post up some numbers once I get it.
