Where are all the fast EPL 1/4 mile times? (NO FATS, NO 60-130, NO DYNOS)

The fact that all I see is them on line talking out there ass it seems they don’t have much work going on and Im sure there is plenty of free time on there hands.

I think its been said time and time again the biggest issue here and several people have mentioned it. AMD is not a good busniess man nore technition. While he might be able to bolt a part on a car he might want to stick to just that. Its obvious your friends and even you admitted he has shit people skills

Maybe if the guy didn’t talk out his ass so many people would stand back and let more things come to light. seems there are more and more storys on how none of these cars are respected even after the big dyno or paper fake fast time.

I look at it like the messanger is getting shot. Because the memo keeps saying the same thing. AMD sucks and tial turbos don’t seem to be kiloling it on the 1/4 mile. For god sakes AWE went faster then ALL OF AMD’s cars back in 2002 with ONE car that made maybe 430whp

Now you have gone and done it, we are going to hear about his 60-130 time again

Talk about talking out your ass. Entire exhaust, downpipes, meth system, fuel system, etc is custom fab from AMD.

I really don’t care that you don’t like AMD.

Cue 60-130 time. Go beat it, then talk more shit. Not hard bro.

Rgr

Hope everyone is having a great Friday.

It’s weird…tweet quotes his dynos 19 times till I tell him that none of us care about the dyno…then burningcoals with his 60-130 time that we again don’t really care much for…and he makes it sound like you can’t talk about EPL’s fail if you don’t run a fast 60-130 lol.

Still nobody has an explanation for why no EPL car has EVER run a fast 1/4 mile time. Not even our guests, the EPL/AMD apologists

Not top 10.
Not top 20.
Not top 30.

I am not appologizing for having the B5 S4 record for 60-130, and having a faster trap then 90% of everyone on here. Not to mention, I was first to 2.0 FATS with a stock tranny on pump. My car has had several firsts for the B5 platform. Only thing left for me to do is run a 10sec 1/4…

I am tired of talking about my accomplishments honestly.

Thanks for putting AMD and EPL on a huge pedestal requiring constant updates and discussions.

Only people appologizing are those with B6/7 that have FI and still can only muster high 11’s and low traps.

Lolol again…its a quarter mile thread about EPL tuning and you want to trash talk cars and talk fats and 60-130???

Sorry but the sad thing is there are all types on this forum. There are people who currently own, or have owned all kinds of cars that would rape my (and your) cars…and none of that matters. The discussion is the disconnect between EPL 1/4 mile times and their dyno/fats/60-130/talk.

Until you have something to contribute to that you’re just trash talking and trolling.

p.s.

apologist - a person who makes a defense in speech or writing of a belief, idea, etc.

Honestly, you are claiming to be the setter of the bar as far s4’s go, but we haven’t seen ONE video proving that you accomplished ANYTHING… They are all claims… While I have no respect for 60-130, FATS, or any of that crap, you still haven’t proven that you did these things as fas as I’m concerned… Prove me wrong please…

This is however a 1/4 mile thread, that said, no matter how fast you claim your car is, if you line up next to a well tuned stage 3 car, you would look like a complete fool at the end of the track. 1/4 mile proof only, lets see video of that 128 pass? I have video of my 130 pass, in car, out of car and time slip… I want to see your slip for short track and top half break downs to compare please. If you’re going to come on here claiming all this and that without backing it up, I’m going to consider it ALL lies because I haven’t seen it… You know what they say, believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear… Again, I challenge you to prove me wrong… Post your record setting fats and 60-130 videos, your 1/4 mile video and slip, I want to see how your car moves…

You guys call a thread titled “where are all the fast EPL cars” a 1/4 only thread?

Maybe you should call it, “Where are all the fast EPL 1/4 mile cars”

Well its right in the OP…not hard to follow.

I’ve changed the title for those who don’t read thread Original Posts, and instead dive in mid thread for an off topic argument.

Saki, are you really having that hard of a time figuring it out? It’s so simple when you put the data out like that. . .

The EPL guys all launch their car in 4th gear and ride it out the whole way down the track!

I Keed, lok, I Keed!

But in truth, that is a pretty funny comparison. I really like to look at 60-130, b/c it is one of the places a lot of people compare their big hp cars. . . but as said, I like it as PART of the performance data, and have it all reference back to the 1/4. I think all the other measurements are a means to explain where & how well the car does in certain phases of the 1/4. I.e. the GT-R & 997 911 Turbo S both have ridiculous speed off of the line & to 60, which certainly contributes to their absurdly low 1/4 times for stock cars.

that’s one nice thing about the timeslip…it shows that and lots of other info. Wish we had more timeslips from these epl cars as they’d show lots of what is going on, we can’t even get their slips from the runs they didn’t like…i.e. The 121 and 128 trapping tial cars.

p.s. Did you mean 997 turbo s?. It is nuts. It runs high 10s at like 129-130. Basically what jhm’s b5 s4 did a few weeks ago.

^Yea, sorry I corrected it. A friend of mine, they traded their 997 GT3 for the Turbo S. . . watching that thing take off by just punching it looks like one of the hardest launches you’ve ever seen, much less when launch control is engaged. 0-60 in 2.7 is just flat impressive too. . .

Also, I dunno if you saw, but Top Gear did a race between the new GT-R and the 458 I believe, but the race was only to 60’ or 100’, just to show how good the GT-R was even though the 458’s numbers are off the chart. Now saying they both left at exactly the same time is tough to say, but the GT-R LC/Traction System is simply amazing.

There are a few EPL cars, and AMD cars that are going to be going to the track this season I hope… Mike Gearhead, tweets maybe, and a few others… I know it comes off as me always hating, but I just want to see some full out performance numbers from these cars… Not 1 gear or two gear pulls, or dyne numbers… I want from a stand still, launch, traction hunting, full 1-4 gear pass to see a breakdown of how these cars really perform. I know burned coals always says, what happens when a epl or and car goes 140+, or these cars will go 140+, what are you going to say then… The truth is, I’m going to say “Well done guys for going out and getting it done” I guarantee it… Nothing I want more, than more fast audis representing out there at the track. I’m down to see how my car does in 60-130, but I hate the idea of going that fast on public roads around here. I was wondering, If I get a Vbox from Reid or whoever, is it possible to record my 60-130 while I am racing the car at the track? I can’t be hitting any buttons or anything, can it self record whatever it needs to? If it can, I am 100% in for logging what my car does, I am curious how it will stack up for sure. If it’s slower, once again, i’'ll say well done guys, if I get to see a video of the 60-130 that is faster than mine of course, not only for proof, but just to see how fast that car looks… From the stack up, it seems like that is a VERY fast car, a video would be pretty sweet…
I’m not arguing with you guys anymore, I don’t post on AZ much at all anymore… I’m going to go out with the car this year, and let it speak for itself… If I have another bad season again, I’m going to ghost ride my car off a cliff, but I feel confident it’s going to be a pretty good season for me… So much so, that I hate that I don’t have a cage, it would suck to get the boot on my first pass, just to have to come home and do the cage. I’m not doing it for now as I don’t want to rip apart my interior, I want to run in a real full street car, all trim, RNS-E, DVD player and all… I have some parts stacking up here and we’re starting to work on it hopefully this week. It’s going to be a month at least before I’m on the road…

^X2. . . I just want to see audi’s set some blistering fast times. Personally I want to see it out of somewhat normal setups (i.e. not single tubo b/c your avg build guy isn’t going single turbo), but just seeing fast times is good. Look at the B8 right now, the forum war isn’t about “are any of them fast”, it’s who is slightly faster (well, hoping that’s what the conversation will be in the spring).

Also, for the xbox, many of the people who do 60-130 will start in 3rd at say 45 and punch it so that the shift from 2-3 isn’t included in the 60-130 run. So while yes, you can use it to log everything all at once, you should be warned about the certain tricks that are used to achieve those stupid fast times.

Good post Justin, get a +1 from me.

yeah, you can just set it to be ‘on’, set the parameters for time/distance and speed/distance, and once you stop, it resets, then once you get going it starts recording data. Don’t need to touch anything. It will measure every time you go through a stated range and record all instances. i.e. 60-130…there will be half a dozen recorded by the end of a day at the strip (or how many passes you make where you get to 130) and it will show them on there in the software. Do a couple of passes where you shift into 3rd early so that you don’t hit 60 in second and then shift into 3rd as part of the recording time.

The data will look funny, because you’ll have a few 1/4 mile times that are 55 seconds long (when you stop, then drive 1320 feet) etc. but it will capture and not miss anything. It will also show you elevation change in the software, so you can see if the track is flat/downhill/uphill. The 60-130 guys seem to have a rule that a 2% downhill grade is ok…and not shockingly they all run on roads that are almost 2% downhill. I think it’s kind of a hokey rule.

+1 for justin.

Thanks guys, Im tired of the back and forth bickering, when we all share a common goal, very fast audis. We should have been helping each other out instead of arguing this whole time, maybe one of us would be in the 10’s already lol. This season is looking like it’s going to be an epic one, between all these tial cars, doms car, my car, chris green’s car is really stepping it up too. Should be crazy. I can’t wait to see how my car does on 60-130, thanks for the info!

I will be there hi-fiving you at the time-slip booth. You can use my v-box anytime.
